Splashy, multi-hued foliage decorates most varieties. These plants have waxy, stiff leaves that point upward from short stems. Some varieties display green leaves dusted with gold, while others boast a virtual Joseph's coat of colors on each leaf.
Croton (Codieaum species) - 6" pot
- Moderate to bright light keeps these shrubby plants happy. They thrive in areas with high humidity, so keep soil consistently moist and provide water-filled pebble tray under pot. Warm indoor temperatures, up to 80 F don't bother crotons. Keeping leaves free of dust will aid in the plants' overall health. Snap off browned leaves at the base of the stem.
